Unique Cradle Acoustic Flooring System For Uneven Or Cambered Floors

Isocheck Adjustable Acoustic Cradle

Suspended system for uneven concrete floors and roof terraces

Isocheck Cradle acoustic flooring system is designed to reduce impact sound transmission through uneven or cambered concrete floors by elevating the floor on timber battens that are supported by an adjustable plastic cradle. This system can facilitate the incorporation of services, is also frequently specified with water based underfloor heating systems and can be used as a support for timber roof terraces.

The Adjustable Cradle comprises an injection moulded recycled plastic adjustable thread and supporting ring to ensure precise levelling across uneven concrete sub-floors without the need for conventional packers. Additional elevating blocks are available for applications where extra height is required.

The Cradle is New Build Robust Detail compliant for masonry floor construction and where the structural sub floor has a camber or is irregular and needs levelling.

Typical applications
To be used over hollow core, in-situ or supported metal deck concrete floors for new build or conversions as illustrated or approved by Isomass (on application to technical@isomass.co.uk for our free acoustic detail design service).

Incorporating an underfloor heating system
Isomass Ltd has developed a number of acoustic floor solutions that could complement the requirement for underfloor heating. The company’s experience in acoustics will ensure that the integration of the underfloor heating system meets your requirements. The floor details shown (see details tab) are known to comply with Approved Document E of the building regulations and in some cases Robust Details. Should they not match your requirements, please contact Isomass Ltd. who will be happy to discuss suitable alternatives.

For flat roof terraces
Our Adjustable Cradle and batten system is also designed to work with decking in an inverted flat roof. It opens up endless possibilities for the design and layout of an outdoor space in a roof terrace. As flat roofs need to have a minimum finished fall of 1:80 (as defined in BS 6229:2018) to ensure water will not pond on the roof surface, Isocheck Adjustable Cradle and battens will allow the finished surface to be actually flat - so providing a usable terrace area. See details tab for a typical terrace application.
